GOP House Members Want Sam Brinton Fired Over Theft Allegations

A group of House Republicans is calling for the dismissal of Sam Brinton, a non-binary official for Biden, after he was accused of stealing a woman's bag at an airport in Minneapolis.

Brinton, a nuclear engineer, is believed to be the first non-binary official in the White House. He was arrested after he was accused of stealing a fellow passenger's suitcase, which he claimed was accidentally taken.

As an official, Brinton is responsible for representing both the US and the Department of Energy. In a letter to the president, the Republican congressmen noted that it was "unforgivable" for a person to violate the laws of the land while also representing American values. The letter also criticized the Energy Department's lack of transparency regarding the incident.

Sixteen Republican members of the House signed the letter. Some of them include Andy Biggs, who recently announced that he would challenge Kevin McCarthy for the position of House speaker.

Brinton was placed on administrative leave after his arrest. He has since been charged with a felony, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The House Republicans have requested that Brinton resign from his position by December 20.

The congressmen stated that they were calling for Brinton's resignation due to his "inappropriate behavior." They also urged the president to appoint individuals who are dedicated to the energy sector.

The authorities of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport confirmed to The Daily Wire that they were investigating Brinton.

According to the complaint, Brinton took an Uber to the airport on September 16 and then checked into a hotel at the InterContinental St. Paul. Two days later, he went back to Washington, DC, and took the same bag.

The owner of the bag filed a report with the authorities stating that her bag was missing. She listed the value of her belongings at around $2,325.

Almost a month after the incident, Brinton was confronted by the police. He initially denied taking the bag, but he later changed his story. He claimed that the bag was accidentally taken.

The addition of Brinton to the Biden administration has been met with controversy. In an interview with Yahoo Life, he opened up about his gender identity.

In October, Brinton told Yahoo Life that he decided to open up about his sexual identity due to the importance of transparency and trust building in the nuclear waste management industry. He noted that he was able to serve his country as he was already, and he wouldn't change his identity.

According to Brinton, it's hard to build strong relationships if he can't be himself. He noted that he was proud to be the first openly transgender individual in a government service. However, he noted that he wouldn't be the last.
