If there aren’t enough Republican candidates who are against Donald Trump, John Bolton says he might run for president in 2024. In a video posted on Twitter, Bolton said that he is considering a run after criticizing Trump's recent comments about the constitution and the election.

I don't know if Bolton is serious about running for president, or if he merely wants to attack Trump. His stated reason for entering the race is due to how many Republican candidates have denounced Trump.
If Bolton is serious about running for president, then he would be the first candidate to attempt to take down Trump by running for office. In 2016, for instance, Mike Lee lost to a guy who was the same candidate who had previously lost to a state official. Also, we're expecting Liz Cheney to run to try and prevent Trump from winning the primary.
In response to the media's explosion regarding his 2020 election comments, Trump said this on his Truth account.
