Deporting Christians: A Crisis Threatening Our Faith and Families

President Trump’s tough immigration plan is hitting Christian families hard. A new report shows 80% of illegal immigrants facing deportation are Christians—mostly Catholics and Evangelicals. Over 10 million believers could be sent back, tearing apart homes where 7 million American Christians live with at-risk relatives.

Faith leaders are sounding the alarm, saying this crackdown hurts the Church itself. The Bible teaches that Christians are “one body”—when one part suffers, everyone feels it. Kicking out fellow believers breaks that sacred bond. These aren’t just numbers. They’re people in our pews.

Imagine your church family split apart. Kids born here could lose parents. Small businesses run by hardworking immigrants might collapse. These families pay taxes, contribute to communities, and pray beside us. Deporting them weakens our churches and neighborhoods.

Some say rules are rules, but where’s the mercy? America has always been a place of faith and freedom. Turning away Christians fleeing violence or poverty betrays our values. Strong borders matter, but so does protecting persecuted believers. There’s a right way to balance both.

Liberal policies created this mess with open borders and lax enforcement. Now, conservative leaders must fix it without harming our own. Let’s secure the border but offer pathways for faithful Christians already here. They’re not criminals—they’re brothers and sisters in Christ.

The report urges churches to speak up. Pastors must tell politicians: don’t destroy families we’ve baptized and married. Real strength means defending the vulnerable, not just building walls. A nation under God should care for His people first.

Common-sense solutions exist. Verify status, deport actual criminals, but keep Christian families intact. Fast-track visas for those contributing to America. Faith, not politics, should guide us. Patriots can both love their country and protect their fellow believers.

This isn’t about partisan fights. It’s about doing what’s right. As conservatives, we want law and order—but also compassion. Let’s fix the system without abandoning our Christian values. The soul of our nation depends on it.
