Senator Eric Schmitt blasted the move as peak liberal foolishness. “These Democrats lined up to visit a foreign country just to hug an MS-13 thug who beat his wife,” he said. The Missouri Republican called it proof that Democrats care more about illegal immigrants than hardworking Americans struggling with Biden’s border chaos.
Abrego Garcia entered the U.S. illegally and was ordered deported after multiple crimes. Courts ruled he should be allowed back to pursue legal appeals, but the Trump administration refused.
