Before climate change, Americans concerned about conservation and recycling. Alternative home and car energy sources are a concern.
These concerns were about land stewardship, not climate change or pollution. Fossil fuels are gone forever. Asia pollutes the most and has no EPA, therefore air pollution isn't a concern. This horse won't drink.
For money, mainstream media misleads Americans about climate change.
The "Green New Deal" is about money, not climate change or Earth. Insider trading helps legislators.
Four examples:
Al Gore and John Kerry's climate change forecasts.
2. Their talk-but-don't-act hypocrisy (flying private jets rather than commercial with the rest of us commoners).
3. Disinterest in passive solar and other renewables.
4. Most of us believe in recycling, but in many blue states, it's illegal to put yard trash or electronics in garbage cans for pickup.
We can judge people's sincerity by what they don't say/do.
Hypocrites:
Hot asphalt parking lots. We still don't have universal design plans that require islands with deciduous trees to reduce tarmac and car heat.
Energy-efficient homes can be built, but we don't demand it. Concrete foundations waste a lot of energy due to their low resistance (R) values. Insulation helps.
Conifers block wind to reduce wind chill. Deciduous trees can also shade our homes. Air conditioners work better on the shady (north) side of the home.
Climate change specialists never highlight these design elements.
The European Alps for me. One village said hydropower. All the mountain snow and rain provided a steady stream of water for dams and turbines.
Last American dam: We haven't heard much about using ocean tides to create electricity.
Even when wind and sun don't, water flows.
I used to love false climate change prophets. My dad read Chicago's Sunday paper. Scientists feared another "ice age" due to all the new commercial "jet traffic" traveling established routes, which would disrupt upper air jet streams over time. Dad laughed as he read the article to the family.
dad was wise He knew I'd teach college later. "Don't be one of those 'publish or perish' instructors," he urged.
Dad, I suppose climate change is the same. Humans must cooperate. Many books have bad science and fiction.

They preach tolerance and inclusivity, but that's not who they are. Climate skeptics deny their definition of climate change.
A climate denier is better than a liar.
Without trustworthy science, they insult, shame, and boycott. The Great Barrier Reef's unparalleled expansion was a media disaster. James Cook University fired GBR observer Peter Ridd for revealing this. Intolerable!
Daily Sceptic said AP would add two dozen climate reporters this year. Five rich foundations including Rockefeller gave $8 million. These sources fund 50 jobs, according AP. Kathryn and James Murdoch subsidize AP climate staff wages. The site says:
