Trump Takes Action Against Antisemitism as Colleges Face Federal Crackdown

Antisemitism in America has exploded since the Hamas attacks on Israel, leaving Jewish communities feeling under siege. President Trump is taking bold action to hold universities accountable for failing to protect Jewish students. The federal government cracked down on Columbia University after pro-Hamas mobs disrupted campuses nationwide.

Over 1,200 antisemitic incidents rocked college campuses this academic year alone. Violent protests forced Jewish learners to hide their identities and avoid classes. Radical activists harassed students, vandalized property, and praised Hamas terrorists. Many universities did little to stop the chaos.

The administration canceled $400 million in taxpayer funding for Columbia University. Federal investigators found the school ignored antisemitic harassment and allowed illegal protests. Education Secretary Linda McMahon declared campuses must follow the law or lose federal support. “We will not tolerate appalling inaction,” she said.

For over a year, far-left universities let anti-Israel mobs shut down campuses. Protesters occupied buildings, assaulted security guards, and chanted genocidal slogans. School administrators caved to radical demands instead of protecting Jewish students. The House Committee on Education exposed systemic failures to enforce student safety codes.

Taxpayers fund universities through grants and research contracts. Letting foreign-backed agitators hijack campuses betrays public trust. The Trump administration vows to deport visa holders who support terrorism and prosecute criminals targeting Jews. “Protected speech doesn’t include threats or violence,” said DOJ task force head Leo Terrell.

While liberal groups whine about free speech, Jewish students just want to study without fear. President Trump’s executive order forces colleges to combat Jew-hatred or face financial ruin. This strong leadership contrasts sharply with the Biden era’s limp policies. Universities must now choose between woke radicalism and their survival.

Hardworking Americans are sick of universities coddling extremists. Pulling funding from reckless institutions protects both Jewish lives and taxpayer dollars. Let Columbia serve as a warning: America puts citizens first. No more endless handouts for schools that harbor hate.
